Shark conservation week begins Feb. 27 | New Day

The Philippines has one of the highest numbers of sharks and Rays around the world with at least two hundred species existing in its waters.

However, they are facing threats of extinction with over one hundred million sharks killed evry year.

Next week, Save Sharks Network Philippines and the Philippine Dragonboat team are organizing a fluvial parade to raise our awareness in shark conservation.
