Time is Not the Same as Money

  • last year
While time and money have some similarities, they are not the same. Time is a form of energy. Money is a real thing. However, both are human inventions that we imbue with so much meaning. They all have influence over our lives. Time is simply the name we've given to that which moves every day. It's a word that represents what we see on a clock and use to gauge our lives and our surroundings. It serves as a model. Time is a term we've coined to describe the energy that propels us all forward. Humans designed the process of tracking it on a sundial, a watch, or a computer. Money is limitless, but time is not. You can always get a part-time job or start a side business, but you'll never be able to return to this moment or day. When the two are equated, the value of time is diminished. It also diminishes the importance of passive investing, or the creation of passive income streams, which I believe is the primary goal of personal finance. Enjoy watching!
