Pika Pika always gets her way

Pika Pika always gets her way, which is why the Keepers have nicknamed her ‘the queen.’ Here’s her royal behaviour on display, in the form of a three-part drama! Act I: Pika Pika loves the mud bath, but she hates to share it. She waits until all the other orphans have vacated, and only then does she dive in for her own private wallow. Listen for her trumpet of triumph! Act II: After letting her enjoy a good, long swim, Pika Pika’s adopted big sister, Embu, attempts to coax her out of the pool. The spoiled little girl pretends to nap on the water’s edge, but really, she’s plotting her next move… Act III: …which is to splash back into the water for a final drive-by wallow! You can almost sense poor Embu’s resignation as she waits onshore. Then, and only then, does Pika Pika relent and join the rest of the herd.
