Falkirk. Merchiston Road. Forth and Clyde Canal Lock 8. Following an incident on January 15 there were reports of damage to a gate and balance beam. An inspection took place and repairs were required. On February 14 after further inspection it was decided a gate at Lock 8 should be removed for further assessment and repair. Gate was removed today February 21 with the help of Horizon Cranes.
