Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's performance at Austin's Moody Center on February 16, 2023 was met with great enthusiasm from the crowd. The setlist included a cover of the Commodores' "Nightshift", as well as fan favorites such as "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out" and "No Surrender". Bruce Springsteen was introduced by George Strait, who said it was his honor to introduce a band that needs no introduction.
The show was praised for its energy and emotion, with Springsteen's solo acoustic moment of "I'll See You In My Dreams" being particularly heart-piercing. The acoustics of the new arena were also given a warmup by the low bellows of “Bruuuce” across the arena. Overall, Bruce Springsteen gave Austin its once-in-a-decade moment of thunder.
