Missing Indian national in earthquake-hit Turkey found dead under debris in Malatya

As earthquakes jolted Turkiye by a series of earthquakes, an Indian national missing since the earthquake in Turkey on February 6 was found dead under the debris of a hotel in Malatya, the Indian Embassy in Turkey informed in a tweet on February 11.

The deceased from Kotdwar, Uttarakhand, identified as Vijay Kumar, was on a business trip to Turkey.

Mountain of sorrow had broken over the deceased family members after the death of his news. The father of the deceased Vijay Kumar died of some disease a month and a half back.

Now, he has a sick mother, wife and a 6-year-old child at home left behind. The death toll from the deadliest quake in the region in two decades stood at more than 24,000 across southern Turkey and northwest Syria four days after it struck.
