ARE FILIPINOS READY FOR THE 'BIG ONE'?

The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, killing thousands of people and flattening villages in several provinces has once again raised the question of whether the Philippines is ready if it is hit by a 'big one'. Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) Officer in Charge Ishmael Narag talks to The Manila Times on Wednesday, February 8, about how Filipinos can prepare ahead of such a catastrophe.
