Australia will send search and rescue team to Turkiye

New South Wales Fire and Rescue is expecting to find total devastation when specialist teams arrive in southern Turkiye. Australia is sending a search and rescue team of up to 72 people to Turkiye, with the bulk from New South Wales. The death toll across Turkiye and northern Syria has climbed to nearly eight thousand so far, and thousands more have been injured. Fire and rescue New South Wales says it's confident they are well equipped to provide the support needed.
