Trial of former school principle begins hearing evidence
  • last year
A former Melbourne school principal has denied dozens of charges of sexually abusing three former students, who were teenagers at the time of most of the alleged offences. Malka Leifer is facing trial in Melbourne’s County Court. Prosecutors have told the jury the students were afraid to speak out about the alleged abuse, while defence counsel says the allegations are erroneous, imagined or fabricated.
