Ambulance Trusts across England have painted an alarming picture of a service in a critical condition as workers announce a further strike on the 10th of February over pay and staffing levels. Documents from the peak of the winter crisis show a fivefold increase in 999 calls from patients asking where their ambulance was, paramedics told to divert patients away from emergency care and soaring staff turnover.
