It will be three years, on 31 January 2023, since the UK officially left the European Union, and despite promises of economic renewal the country is facing a cost of living crisis and a stuttering economy. The pandemic and the war in Ukraine have added to the challenges, but businesses say the difficulty of trading with Britain’s closest market is a result of Brexit, with tangible benefits still proving elusive for most.
