David Goulding and Helen Pye describe their traumatic experience after a thief tried to steal their car.
On Monday lunchtime Helen was cleaning out her car when she spotted a suspicious man nearby. Noticing the keys were in the ignition, he jumped inside the car, and in a bid to stop him, Helen climbed inside the boot.
She eventually managed to escape unharmed, but her partner David took off after the Golf GTI and ran across a busy main road trying to stop the thief.
