How to Check if your PC Supports UEFI or EFI on Windows 10 or 8?

If you recently purchased a computer or laptop and want to know whether it has UEFI or EFI, here is how to do it.

First, open File Explorer or Windows Explorer by pressing the Windows + E keyboard shortcut or another method you prefer to use.

Then, open the Windows installation drive (usually, it’s a “C” drive).

Here, locate and double-click on the Windows folder.

Under the Windows folder, locate and double-click on the Panther folder.

Under the Panther folder, locate the file setupact file and right-click on it.

Select Open with.

Then, select Notepad or Wordpad in the context menu.

Next, click on the OK button to open the file.

In the file setupact file, press the Ctrl + F keyboard shortcut and type Detected Boot Environment.

Then, click on the Find Text button.

At the end of the Detected Boot Environment, BIOS or UEFI, or EFI will appear.

That's it.
