New year but still plagued with the same issues as hopes of turning “a new corner” continues to be rattled with reports of child abuse, abandonment and deaths.

No child should have to live in constant fear of violence, but unfortunately, some do as they are left helpless and vulnerable.

Who is to be blamed? What more can be done? What are the reforms needed? Are the children safe?
