Tibetan Government in Exile celebrates 74th Republic Day

The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) of the Tibetan government in exile held an official ceremony on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day on January 26.

Political leader Sikyong and CTA president Penpa Tsering unfurled the Indian national flag at the headquarters of the Tibetan government in exile in Dharamshala.

They expressed deep gratitude and paid respect to the people of India and the Indian government. Tibetan ministers and members of the Tibetan parliament in exile also marked their presence here.

CTA president Penpa Tsering said, “Two important official celebrations that we celebrate along with the government of India and the people of India are the Indian Independence Day and the Republic Day. These two days all the senior leaders of the Central Tibetan Administration of and all the three pillars of democracy and all the senior civil staff also attend this function.”
