A-10 Thunderbolt II Aircraft Test Cluster Bombs

U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II ground attack aircraft fire GAU-8 Avenger cannons and drop cluster bombs on targets at the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR). The 422 Test and Evaluation Squadron (TES) conducted testing of two different Cluster Bomb Units (CBU), CBU-87 and CBU-103, to evaluate bomblet dispersion patterns, and effectiveness against armored targets.
