Dry January: How Bars are Adapting to the Popular Trend

Data from research company Morning Consult shows that 15 percent of American adults planned to participate in Dry January this year. While the trend benefits Americans’ health and bank accounts, locally-owned bars take the economic hit in a period that is already impacted by a wave of flu, COVID, RSV, and common cold infections. Some bars are adding more non-alcoholic libations to their menus to draw patrons into their establishments.
