PM: Mental health funding will 'relieve' A&E pressures
  • last year
The prime minister has said a £150 million funding package for mental health services will help to "relieve" the pressures in busy A&E departments.

Rishi Sunak said: "Lots of people with mental health conditions are in A&E departments … it's better for them, their families and indeed our emergency departments if they're treated in alternative settings. Today's announcement will mean that we can deliver on that." Report by Buseld. Like us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/itn and follow us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/itn
