The ceremonial opening on January 20, 2023 of the Binondo-Intramuros Bridge linear park and pedestrian stairs was led by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, together with People’s Republic of China Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian; DPWH Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain; and Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. Vice President Dr. Cecilio Pedro. The opening of pedestrian stairs built on three (3) locations will improve accessibility going to and from the bridge while the provision of linear park complete with benches and pavers can serve as a place for leisure, meetings, and recreational activities for people of all ages.
