At least 70 people and 70,000 cattle died during the week, as a wave of cold weather was observed in many provinces, when temperatures dropped to – 33 C (- 27 F ). At least 70 people and tens of thousands of cattle have died due to freezing temperatures across Afghanistan, the Afghanistan Disaster Management Ministry confirmed to Al Jazeera, as Afghans recovered from a period of cold weather amid a humanitarian crisis.
