Recent round of tech job layoffs may just be industry growing pains

It's been a rough start to the year for the tech industry, with many tech companies launching rounds of layoffs. More are expected in the coming days, starting with an announcement from Amazon that the company will start the process of eliminating 18,000 positions. These layoffs, however, may not be a sign of panic in the larger workforce.
