Als die Varietékünstler und Freunde Puccinelli und Korwin werden während des Korea-Kriegs zum Militärdienst eingezogen werden und ihn in einem Trainingscamp ableisten, bringt es Puccinelli zum Sergeant, während Korwin als einfacher Soldat und Schütze im Schlamm robben und Küchendienst schieben muss. Eines Tages taucht Puccinellis Ex-Freundin Millie auf, doch Puccinelli interessiert sich mehr für die charmante Helen.
