NFL Wildcard Playoff Final: Dak Prescott And The Dallas Cowboys Dominate The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 31-14

TAMPA, FL – Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys (13-5) dominated Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-10) in the NFC wild-card game on Monday night. QB Dak Prescott led this team from start to finish and had one of his best games in a month.
Prescott finished the night throwing 25-of-33 for 305 yards for four touchdowns and a rushing touchdown and 0 interceptions. There was a lot of concern leading up to this game about the interception issue and the fact that Prescott had thrown an interception in seven straight games. Today Prescott played with confidence and poise for all four quarters and led America’s team to a victory.
“It just shows he’s resilient,” Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons said. “The light’s different on Dak. I think the criticism is unfair and unjust sometimes. But the way he handles it, the way he comes back every time and shows who he truly is, it’s a credit to the work he puts in. It makes us keep believing every time.”
Dallas beat Tom Brady for the first time in his career and won in the postseason on the road for the first time in 30 years to earn a trip to San Francisco to face the 49ers in the NFC divisional round next Sunday.
The Cowboys had this one from start to finish and it started early in the first quarter with a touchdown from Dak Prescott to Dalton Schultz. Schultz led in receiving with seven receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Prior to this game Tampa struggled defending the tight end position, and the Cowboys took every advantage of that.
The Cowboys answered with a solid win after a not so good contest against the Commanders last Sunday. Today, Dallas was a totally different team and played how they know how to play. Dak Prescott spoke after the game about the Commanders game.
“Simply just didn’t listen to anybody else’s opinions, anybody else’s thoughts. Made sure I was conscious of what I put in my own head,” Prescott added. “Got a great supporting cast in my team, people that believe in me. That’s all that really matters to me, and just stay focused on what I can do.”
Besides the amazing play the entire team put on tonight, the only negative thing about the contest was the Cowboys kicker Brett Maher missing his first four field goals, becoming the first NFL player to miss that many in the game. Maher went on to make the fifth field goal. Despite the rough night for Maher the team still had his back after the game.
The Cowboys will head back to Dallas and start the preparation for the San Francisco 49’ers. That game will be played in San Francisco on Sunday at 6:30 PM CST.
