Cebu-based development workers and labor rights advocates Dyan Gumanao and Armand Dayoha were supposed to return home in the province of Cebu on January 10 after visiting family members in Mindanao over the holidays.
In a video anonymously sent to volunteer rights defenders on January 16, a group of unidentified assailants can be seen attempting to abduct Gumanao and Dayoha on a silver van.
