Hailsham and Hellingly under water - Residents pump sewage from gardens

Residents in Hellingly have been pumping raw sewage and runoff water from their gardens today as constant rain causes the River Cuckmere to flood the area. Debris has been spotted blocking vital routes for water meaning residents are constantly at risk of flooding. Hailsham Country Park was also flooded today as another blockage in a tunnel caused water to flood the ditches.
