Ever wonder what would happen if witches lead the United States Army? “Motherland: Fort Salem” creator Eliot Laurence stopped by to discuss the highly anticipated second season of the series. “I’ve always been obsessed with witchcraft and magic and all of that stuff literally since I was a little kid. And so I always wanted to do a witch thing and one day the military/witch kind of thing happened and I was like ‘woah,’” Laurence said. Laurence created a universe where a Salem witch cut a deal with the U.S. military. If they stopped killing her kind, she would fight their wars. As time passed, this utopia turned into a pocket matriarchy full of magical spells and terrifying enemy organizations.
