The Kern County Board of Supervisors held their first meeting of 2023 on Tuesday, January 10. One of the more prevalent topics discussed was local child deaths from 2017 to 2021. The numbers show that more than 600 Kern County children died during that five year period, with accidental deaths being the lead cause.
