Bayside is about to get a little more queer! Ahead of the upcoming season, Gayety had the opportunity to speak with Alycia Pascual-Peña (Aisha) and Dexter Darden (Devante) all about what the baysiders are up to this season, Aisha’s journey to explore her sexuality, and how the show compares to their own high school experiences. Alycia said, “it was really exciting to see her advocate for herself in the classroom as an Afro Latina and, you know, come out as bi and feeling empowered by, you know, her queer brothers and sisters in the season and find herself in a new relationship.
