Quick Easy & Simple || Homemade CHICKEN DUMPLINGS SOUP. Recipe by Always Yummy!

Chicken soup with tender dumplings is quick to cook. And affordable ingredients are used for it. Such soup always comes out mouth-watering and tasty to the delight of children and adults.

✅ Ingredients:
• chicken – 14 oz / 400 g
• potato – 10 oz / 280 g
• carrot – 3 oz / 90 g
• onion – 5 oz / 140 g
• salt – 2 tsp
• 1 bay leaf
• ground black pepper – ½ tsp
• vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
• all-purpose flour – 3 oz / 80 g
• 2 eggs
• dill – 1 tbsp
• 1 carrot
• 1 onion
• 2 celery stalks
• water – 8 cup / 2 l

✔︎ You will need:
• bowl
• stockpot
• carving board
• tea or coffee spoon
• pan

Preparation:
1. Lay a carrot, an unpeeled onion, celery and chicken into the stockpot.
2. Pour in 8 cup / 2 l of water, bring to a boil over high heat, skim the froth and reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid and cook for 30 minutes.
3. Dice the onion, grate the carrot coarsely. Add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil into the pan and fry the onion over medium heat for 2 minutes, then add the carrot and fry for another 4 minutes.
4. Take the chicken and veggies out of the broth, debone the chicken and cut into small pieces.
5. Add the diced potato, a bay leaf and salt into the broth and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
6. Making dumplings: add ½ tsp of salt and 2 eggs to the flour and mix until smooth with a fork.
7. Add the chicken meat and fried onion and carrot into the stockpot and cook for another 3 minutes over low heat.
8. Make dumplings with a tea or coffee spoon – dip a spoon into the soup, then scoop ⅓ or ½ of the dough and dip into the soup, add the whole dough this way.
9. Cover with the lid and cook over low heat for 5 minutes, switch the heat off.
10. Add the chopped-up dill and ½ tsp of ground black pepper.

❗️Advices:
1. To get a tasty and hearty soup it is necessary to cook proper broth, so be sure to add listed veggies when cooking it. Rinse onion in its peel well, it adds a golden color to broth.
2. Serve chicken soup with dumplings hot.
3. Dumplings grows while cooking, so add a dough with a small spoon into soup.
4. Bay leaf can add a bitter taste to soup, so add it 10-15 minutes before end of cooking and take it out as soon as heat is switched off.
