While checking items off your grocery list, you may have noticed an increase in the price of eggs at your local market. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says food items like meat, poultry, fish, and eggs have increased 6.8 percent from 2021 to 2022. 23ABC's Breanna Polk spoke with the president of the California Poultry Federation about the reasons behind the price jump, and when he thinks prices will come back down to normal.
