Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will be holding a meeting on January 6 with the top officials regarding the cracks and seepage issue in Joshimath town of Chamoli.

People in the district have been fleeing from their houses to safer places following incidents of land subsidence in the area. They also held a torchlight protest January 4, expressing their anger against the government for not providing accommodation and other facilities to those affected by the land subsidence.

“I will hold a high-level meeting with top officials in Dehradun this evening regarding landslides in Joshimath and cracks in houses. I will visit Joshimath tomorrow and take stock of the situation. A team from BJP has also been sent there,” said Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.
