Shamila, a Coimbatore-based Post Graduate Mechanical Engineering student turned into a poultry farmer and has been breeding hens for the past two years.

On January 02, one of the hens at the farm laid an egg which measured 8.1 inches in size and had a circumference of 5.5 inches and weighed 90 grams, which is way more than a normal-sized egg which weighs around 40 grams.

The egg has been preserved for the Guinness World Record.
