On January 3, the Supreme Court of India said cinema halls and multiplexes have the right to prohibit outside food articles, but hygienic drinking water should be provided for free. The top court was hearing a petition on whether people can take outside food to theatres. A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha were hearing the matter.
