Drone footage shows Buffalo buried under snow after historic blizzard

Shocking drone footage shows the aftermath of a blizzard in Buffalo, New York, which killed 38 people. Snow could be seen burying vehicles and blanketing homes and businesses which were hit by Storm Elliott. On Christmas Day (Sun) the city had already seen 92.7 inches of snow this season, just a few inches shy of the average 95.4 inches Buffalo gets during an entire winter. The city, which is the second largest in New York state, was hit by weather warnings until Tuesday and temperatures warmed towards the end of the week. The National Weather Service said 'lake effect snow' continued into Tuesday. The blizzard was more deadly than a previous one in 1977, and some victims were found in cars, or died as they cleared sidewalks. A video shared by Twitter user @Stacksthagod shows an aerial view of snow blanketing roads, homes and business in Buffalo. With temperatures reaching the 50s in some areas and possible rain over the weekend, the agency warned melting snow could cause minor flooding.
