DGP Mahender Reddy said that he is retiring on 31st of this month. He thanked everyone who helped him in his career. He thanked the government, media, people and staff who supported him in the last 8 years. On November 17, 2017, Mahender Reddy was appointed as the DGP of Telangana State. On April 8, 2020, Mahender Reddy was ranked 8th in the list of top 25 IPS officers in the country | ఈ నెల 31 తేదీన తాను రిటైర్డ్ అవుతున్నానని డీజీపీ మహేందర్ రెడ్డి చెప్పారు. తన కెరియర్ లో సహకరించిన అందరికీ ధన్యవాదాలు తెలిపారు. గత 8 ఏళ్లలో తనకు సహకరించిన ప్రభుత్వం, మీడియా, ప్రజలు, సిబ్బందికి కృతజ్ఞతలు చెప్పారు. 2017 నవంబరు 17న మహేందర్ రెడ్డి తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర డీజీపీగా నియమితులయ్యారు. ఏప్రిల్ 8, 2020న దేశంలోని టాప్ 25 ఐపీఎస్ అధికారుల జాబితాలో మహేందర్ రెడ్డి 8వ స్థానం దక్కించుకున్నారు.
