The opposition parties held a protest and raised slogans against Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde on December 26. They were protesting against the Karnataka and Maharashtra governments over the border dispute. Maharashtra government filed a petition in Supreme Court, staking claim over Marathi-speaking villages in Belagavi.
