A 2022 American superhero movie called Black Adam will star Dwayne Johnson as the title DC Comics character. The film is the eleventh in the DC Extended Universe and a spinoff of Shazam! (2019). (DCEU). Jaume Collet-Serra is the film's director, and Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani are its writers. Along with Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan also appear in the movie. Warner Bros. Over the course of the following year, additional casting took place, including the casting of four members of the Justice Society of America. Haines and Noshirvani again revised the script. April to August 2021 saw filming in Trilith Studios in Los Angeles and Atlanta, Georgia.
On October 3, 2022, Black Adam had its international premiere in Mexico City, and on October 21, 2022, it was theatrically distributed in the US. Critics gave the movie mixed reviews, praising the actors and action scenes while criticizing the narrative. According to some estimates, it failed to repay its complete cost after marketing and distribution charges, grossing $391 million globally against a production budget of $190–260 million. As a result, media dubbed the movie a box office flop.
