The federal and NSW governments have pledged nearly 8 billion dollars to fast track the transition to cleaner energy. The deal will support eight renewable projects in the state and the snowy hydropower scheme. The investment aims to minimise energy and gas prices as well as helping the energy grid rely less on fossil fuels in the next ten years.
