Watch: Government denies shortage of Strep A antibiotics

The Government is monitoring the Strep A medicine situation daily and has taken action to address infections, a minister said.Answering an urgent question in the House of Commons, health minister Maria Caulfield MPs: "We are monitoring this on a daily basis and can I just reassure people that while these are higher-than-usual incidences for this time of year, overall for this season we are not yet at the 2017-2018 levels when we had a significantly higher number of deaths.”
