1943 Jo Stafford I Remember You

Best known to later generations from the 1962 Frank Ifield hit, this Johnny Mercer-Victor Schertzinger tune was written for the entertaining 1942 Paramount musical “The Fleet’s In,” which featured Dorothy Lamour, William Holden, Betty Hutton, Eddie Bracken and the Jimmy Dorsey band.
