Yorkshire Water has confirmed what the basic rate of compensation for Sheffield homes will be after up to 3,500 homes were left without heating. On December 2, a Yorkshire Water mains pipe burst and knocked out gas for hundreds of households in the Stannington, Malin Bridge and Hillsborough area.
