Government ‘united’ with BoE to get inflation down

The Chief Secretary to the Treasury says that the government is “united with the Bank of England” to try and get the inflation rate down from 10.7% to the target of 2%. John Glen was speaking after the Bank announced it had raised interest rates to 3.5% from 3%, the highest for more than 14 years. Report by Jonesia.
