When Tamika Felder was diagnosed with cervical cancer, it felt like a death sentence. She mourned the loss of her fertility after a radical hysterectomy, which felt synonymous with the loss of her womanhood at the time. Upon recovery, she birthed an organization, Cervivor, to provide support and community for women with cervical cancer and fellow survivors. Ultimately, this community opened the door to motherhood for Tamika by way of gestational surrogate – fulfilling one of her lifelong dreams.
