Narrated by the late and great Charlton Heston, this animated NBC Christmas special (which premiered 30 years ago) revolves the story around a red ornament with a special "happiness" and his experiences with each holiday season from the great depression to the 90s. I remember this special airing well into the late 90s a few times, but since then it hasn't been acknowledged by NBC and has fallen out of print.
Trivia: this special was the last to be written by Romeo Muller right until his tragic death on December 30th, 1992.
