Wes Streeting has accused the government of using nurses and paramedics as "scapegoats" saying the "power" to stop the winter wave of public sector strikes lies "in their hands". The shadow health secretary branded the Government's approach to the NHS pay dispute "disgusting", rebuked by the health minister Will Quince, who defended the government's following of advice from an "independent" pay review body.
