American sports journalist dies in Qatar

American sports journalist Grant Wahl has died in Qatar while covering the World Cup quarterfinals match between Argentina and the Netherlands.

Grant Wahl collapsed at the Lusail Iconic Stadium and was rushed to hospital – it is unclear whether he died there or in transit.

Eric Wahl, brother of Grant Wahl, believes he was murdered after being detained for wearing a rainbowed shirt while covering the World Cup.
