Cyclonic storm Mandous has created havoc as heavy waterlogging was witnessed in several areas of Chennai on Saturday, December 10. MMDA Colony of Arumbakkam is one of the worst hit areas by Mandous. Rooftops of several houses also collapsed due to the cyclonic storm.
On Saturday, the India Meteorological Department said that the landfall process of Cyclone Mandous has been completed. Chennai residents have been witnessing heavy rainfall and strong winds. Now, they are facing heavy waterlogging. The GCC officials have said that motor pumps were being used to remove stagnant water.
