The International Day of Persons with Disabilities was started in 1992 by the adoption of the United Nations Resolution on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
. Today there will be an awareness walk on behalf of the disabled students in Government Special School of Toba Tek Singh. Teachers along with the students also participated in the awareness walk. This number is 10 percent of the total population, that is, one out of every 10 people is suffering from a disability. Special people have made their mark in every field of the world and have proved it with their abilities. They can live their lives like people.
The purpose of celebrating this day was also that we should make a commitment, regardless of color, race and caste, that we will play our full role in the rehabilitation of special people.
