"NATO's door is open," Jens Stoltenberg said, reiterating a vow made by NATO leaders in 2008 that Ukraine and also Georgia would eventually join the alliance. "Russia does not have a veto" on countries joining the security alliance, he said in reference to the recent entry of North Macedonia and Montenegro.
