King opens new welcome centre for Ukrainian refugees

  • last year
The King has opened a new welcome centre for Ukrainian refugees in London. Charles was joined by Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenaska, where the pair were first shown inside the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Family in Exile before meeting families inside the welcome centre. The monarch toured an art therapy class and a mother and toddler class before unveiling a plaque to commemorate his visit. Charles then burst into laughter as he was handed a framed photograph of him dancing the traditional Ukrainian Hopak dance in 1981 with a group of folk dancers in Derby. Report by Blairm.
